Portfolio Analysis
The timetotrade Investment Performance Reports provide key information relating to the performance and asset allocation of your entire investment portfolio from across multiple different broker accounts.
Using timetotrade Private Investors and Investment Clubs can track investment performance using the Unit Valuation System and a suite of Money and Time Weighted Performance metrics.
You can import investment transactions from multiple portfolios and broker accounts and get a consolidated view your investment performance across all of your portfolios as well as drilling down to see performance metrics for a specific portfolio / broker account or even an individual share holding within a portfolio. You can even compare your performance to a variety of indices or individual stocks.
A full list of the available performance metrics and sample reports are shown below:
Absolute Return on Open Positions
The Absolute Return chart shows the Unrealised Gains ie gross profit and gross percentage profit associated with each open position.
The figures do not include expenditure you will incur upon sale of the asset (eg broker commissions or tax due).
The Unrealised Gain is the difference between the cost of an asset and its current value.
The gain only becomes realised once the asset is sold.
If you click on the name of the asset in the legend, then the performance metrics relating to that particular asset will be displayed.

Realised Chargeable Gains and Losses
This bar chart displays the Realised Gains and Realised Losses associated with closed positions, along with Percentage Gain and Loss.
The figures are calculated taking into account all costs incurred in the purchase and disposal of the asset (eg broker commissions and stamp duty). Where there have been repeated buys and sells of the same share type, UK HMRC Share Identification Rules have been used to determine the Gain.
